A little about Paul

Paul is a man of many talents, many hobbies, and many wonderful qualities. He has a wry sense of humor that those who know him well have come to appreciate. He is an excellent teacher and definitely chose the right profession as a college instructor. He is kind, caring, listens well and is always trying to improve himself. When Paul sets his mind to something, he accomplishes it. He has learned from others or taught himself many handy-man skills which he uses constantly on our home, yard, and cars-not to mention the kids toys. Paul loves to fly-fish, is an excellent shot with a gun and becoming one with a bow and arrow, too. He likes to hunt water fowl, turkeys and deer. He loves the outdoors and is an Eagle Scout. Paul also loves college football and is a true blue BYU fan. He serves in our church and sacrifices much time and energy in behalf of others. Best of all, Paul is a fabulous husband and father. He has his priorities strait and understands the importance of putting family first. As his wife I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful husband. It's hard not to love Paul!

Transforming the Basement

The storage area stayed the same, but walled off. Makes a big difference in how the room looks!

This is going to be the bathroom

Oops, I forgot the tiles would be a mirror image of the lines I traced! Had to buy another box of tiles and have them re-cut. Put me behind and cost me some extra $$ but counted it as a learning experience.

I got it right the second time around!

We did most of the finish work between the hours of 10:00 pm and 4:00 am. It was exhausting but necessary to complete our deadline.

Guess who's TWO

Good Morning Birthday Boy!

Hailey wants to be in some pictures, too.

Elmo is Dallin's favorite character these days. He pronounces it "Mommo" which is what the other kids call Grandma Warner, so when she calls, he gets all excited and thinks he's talking to a red furry creature instead of an old lady!! (those were her words, so I dare say that!)

School Projects

Hailey's Preschool Class studied Dinosaurs.

They made all kinds of adorable palentology accents as they prepared for "parent night." Hailey couldn't wait to show us her dinosaur tooth, palentologist hat, fossil, and volcano.

Hannah's class was assigned to bring their own Valentine Boxes. Miss Creativity decorated this bucket for a unique spin on the traditional square look. It was the talk of the classroom!

Sherie comes to visit

Emily's sister Sherie flew into town for a few days. We spent a night and a day in the Windy City shopping. That night we tried for last minute tickets to the musical "Wicked" and managed to get just one coveted ticket. Since Emily had seen it already, she went to the movies and Sherie went to Wicked. It was worth splitting up for such a magnificent experience!

While shopping we came across "Ethel's Chocolate Lounge." Thinking of Mom we had to have a picture!

Back in Rockford, Brooke joined us for lunch while the kids were in school and Paul babysat. Fun to have a girls' day out!

Hannah turns 10

One of the kids' favorite things about birthdays is choosing which type of cake/cupcakes they want Mom to make. They have idea books that they review all year long. This year Hannah chose "presents."
